The League for the International Appreciation of Trees (LIAT) held a successful information stall at Love & Rage, an environmental awareness event held in London on 12-13 Sept 2026 (we did not take part in the demonstration on 14 Sept). Our stall included information about the essential aspects of the importance of trees to the world, environment, wildlife, human culture, and personal health. Many people were aware that trees were important, but were surprised to know all the specific ways in which they benefit us and the world around us.

This was our first event in person interacting with people and we were pleased to see so many other people enthusiastic about respecting and protecting trees! For seven years, we had run Tree Fun Facts only as an online project, and did not receive any feedback from others, so it was insightful and motivating to know people's opinions on the project. We distributed over 80 flyers and encouraged people to pass on our warm welcome to other organisations to collaborate with us.

We look forward to participating in other environmental awareness events. We are open to events and collaboration in London - please feel free to contact us.
