Helping the World to Appreciate Nature
Helping the World to Appreciate Nature
The League for the International Appreciation of Trees (LIAT) is a non-profit, non-religious global initiative to educate the world about the importance of trees.
As trees are some of the oldest living organisms and an essential source of life, we believe that they should be deeply respected. By providing accessible educational resources on our flagship site Tree Fun Facts, we enable people in all corners of the world to understand trees from a wide variety of perspectives, allowing them to appreciate their value to the world and to humanity. All of our resources are completely free and open to everyone.
Additionally, we aim to carry out ambitious educational initiatives to help children understand how trees are important to the world around them, and encourage the wider population to spend more time around trees, taking advantage of the many physical and mental health benefits they offer to us.
Based in the UK, our projects have a universal appeal and aim to benefit all of humanity by increasing knowledge and promoting better understanding of nature. If you are a like-minded individual or organisation, please contact us and we would love to collaborate.
